Nutritional supplements for acne will decrease inflammation and infection and nourish the skin. If consumption of fresh fruits and vegetables is low, take a multi-vitamin supplement. The most important vitamins and minerals for acne eruptions are vitamin A/beta-carotene and zinc. Vitamin A is necessary for skin healing. Take 25,000 units of vitamin A or beta-carotene twice a day.
